Values

In this text I will reflect on different values, and why values is important for us.

The film I have chosen as my main focus, is “pursuit of happyness” 

Values are a person or a group’s beliefs, principals or qualities.  We have for example values that’s related to the way we act toward each other, which is important for us. We also have values that we need, like food, and a home.  

The importance of values, appears in many aspects of our society, for instance values of freedom, individualism, faith, mobility and justice.

In the film “pursuit of happyness”, we meet Chris Gardner a hardworking salesman. He lives in a small apartment in a poor neighborhood with his wife and son. He doesn’t have a regularly income, which is a problem because it makes it hard for him to pay the rent. He soon is thrown out of his apartment. In the movie, we are presented for many American values, like faith, and the American dream. Chris works hard to get out of his situation, and even though it’s really stressful at first it pays of at the end.

I think that values are important, because all of our decisions are based on our beliefs and values. Our values define us as persons, and helps us find our place in society. Values is also something nonreligious people can believe in.  

To conclude, values are beliefs or principals of a person. For a nonreligious his or hers values might be the persons hope and beliefs. There are different types of values, which is important in different ways.

Revolution

-it was important in the releasing of slaves

The Cold War
